Visit Official Site: This is one of those wonderful pieces of original music that has taken WAY TOO LONG to get in the hands of the public – to be specific, at least 35 years too long.
The songs from RIGGED were written and produced between 1970 and 1980 – and it is truly remarkable how current they still sound today. Lingering scents of Frank Zappa with a hint of John Lennon. This is John’s first solo album after his group work with the rock band Abiqua.

FOLK FRESCO allows John Rigg to provide a fresh look at the contemporary folk genre. With a little help from his friends – including David Wright and Joani Cremar (among others), John introduces sixteen new, original songs on his second solo album effort. Some songs are reminiscent of the Moody Blues, Procul Harum, Strawbs, Al Stewart or even Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
Other, more earthy and raw sounds bring back memories of the Limeliters, The Kingston Trio, The Brothers Four, Harry Chapin, Dave Porter and Blue Mink. The really amazing thing about these songs is that they’ve been stored away in the “musical vault” for at least 35 years and finally released now into the full distribution channels.
If you enjoy great contemporary folk, this is a must-have CD for your collection.
