Glenn started his musical journey as a session drummer through-out the 70′s and 80′s. He recorded and toured with artists like Automatic Man, Coke Escovedo, Etta James, Dave Mason, Juice Newton, Duncan Sheik and The Untouchables … just to name a few. For over twenty years he has been holding down the beat and refers to the Eddie Money Band as his “day job”, with over 100 tour dates per year, however his passion remains playing his guitar and singing his songs. Glenn is a natural storyteller and entertainer. He often opens the show while on tour with Eddie Money and has branched out with two solo CDs: 2011′s “Southern Poets, Trains and Troubadours” and his newest release “Early California”. Glenn’s music features folk roots, reggae, country and pop influences identified in artists like Tom Petty, John Hiatt, John Mellencamp and Bob Dylan.
Glenn is very proud of his newest release “Early California”. Here’s what Glenn has to say about it in his own words …
“Early California is my homeland manifesto. These songs are memoirs, photos from my family album. They are songs about real life and common places, everyday people with familiar faces. These songs are about reflecting and looking back at the changes in my old neighborhood and at the changes I see in myself. These are the songs I play for my family and friends. Everybody has a California, a place where they feel comfortable. Welcome to mine”.
